Netiquette Social Media

For the Oberbergischer Kreis, fairness and tolerance are important values. We therefore appeal to you to treat different opinions and attitudes with the utmost respect and to refrain from insults and accusations.

The comments of users reflect only their opinions and not those of the Oberbergischer Kreis. The same applies to the content of linked pages. Despite careful moderation and review of contributions, the Oberbergischer Kreis assumes no liability for comments and the content of linked pages.

We reserve the right to delete comments, posts, and links that, for example, do not aim for a factual debate but instead fuel prejudices, spread falsehoods, or violate points of our netiquette. Additionally, we may block users who violate the netiquette from the social media pages or accounts of the Oberbergischer Kreis. Comments that are unrelated to the original topic of the post will be removed.
 

Not allowed on our social media pages or accounts:

• Violations of applicable law.
• Infringements of the rights of third parties (persons, institutions, organizations, companies).
• Insults, demeaning remarks, defamation, provocations, and discrimination against individuals - especially based on their religion, origin, nationality, physical condition, income situation, sexual identity, age, or gender.
• So-called trolling, flaming, and bashing, i.e., intentionally hurtful, polemical, denigrating, disruptive, or irrelevant comments.
• Calls for violence against individuals, institutions, or companies.
• Political and religious extremism, racism, and hate propaganda.
• False factual claims.
• Pornography and obscenities.
• Election and party advertising as well as all types of donation appeals.
• Calls for campaigns, rallies, and petitions of any political orientation.
• Posting content, photos, and comments from other websites, Facebook pages, forums, blogs, etc.
• Links to external websites are undesirable.
• Comments unrelated to the topic of the respective post.
• Deliberately misleading contributions.
• Publication of photos of unclear origin.
• GIFs do not contribute and should therefore be used sparingly.
• Publication of private addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers.
• Publication of private correspondence (letters, emails, and the like).
• Misuse of the comment function for advertising purposes and spam.
• Commercial or private offering of goods or services.
