Accident hotspot in Marienheide Traffic restriction: Renewed closure after severe damage to the stationary speed monitoring system.

Oberbergischer Kreis. The left-turn lane from L 306 in Marienheide/Holzwipper onto K 45 "Straße" will be temporarily closed again.

The speed monitoring system, which was only recently put into operation there, was severely damaged in an accident and is not operational until further notice. According to the manufacturer's initial assessment, the system is not expected to be operational again until 2027.

The accident commission of Oberbergischer Kreis has therefore decided to prohibit the possibility of left-turning at this location again and to restore the traffic flow prior to the installation of the stationary speed monitoring system to ensure the best possible traffic safety. The closure will be lifted once the system is operational again.

After completing the necessary preparations, the measure will now be implemented shortly by the responsible road authority. A corresponding detour will be set up and signposted.

The authorities involved expressly ask all those affected for their understanding regarding the measure taken.
