AIDS Counseling / HIV Test

The public health department offers all citizens the opportunity to take a free, anonymous HIV test. The test involves a blood sample that is sent to a specialized laboratory.

The result is available after about a week and is communicated only in person, not over the phone, by appointment.

Anonymous HIV tests do not provide certificates regarding the result. A named (non-anonymous) test certificate can be issued for €15.

If the test result is positive, we will assist you with the next steps. You will need a doctor experienced in treating HIV-positive patients.
