With the spread of the wolf population in Germany, migrating wolves are occasionally sighted in the Oberbergischer Kreis. Additionally, there is a wolf area in the Oberbergischer Kreis where wolves have already settled.

Possible wolf indications (sightings, wild or livestock kills, etc.) can be reported to our wolf advisors or the State Office for Nature, Environment and Consumer Protection (LANUV).

In a wolf area, protective measures for keeping sheep, goats, and game animals are supported.

Wolf Attacks and Herd Protection
